- ➤ The Metro drivers union ratified a new contract with the city that gives extra yearly pay raises and shortens the wait for vacation bumps. The deal was approved by most drivers 9 months after the old contract expired—improving work terms. Wisconsin State Journal

- ➤ The Madison Heart Walk brought local residents together on Saturday at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg to learn hands-only CPR and raise funds for heart health research. Delta Dental official Greg Theis explained that learning CPR can save lives based on his experience in Nashville. WKOW
- ➤ Local drummer Rokker suffered a cardiac arrest on stage at the Gamma Ray Bar in December 2024 when CPR responders alerted by the PulsePoint app arrived in time to save his life. After nine months of rehabilitation, he will return to the stage to raise funds for another drummer needing medical help—highlighting the importance of fast CPR response. WKOW
