- ➤ Madison city officials are set to propose a rule that will require anyone buying hemp-derived THC products to be at least 21 today—common council president Regina Vidaver said the change aims to close loopholes and reduce emergency room visits linked to these products. - ➤ Robin Copley, the independent police monitor, stepped down on October 3 for personal medical reasons — the city will post an interim monitor opening, and that candidate cannot apply for the permanent role during the search for a replacement. WMTV
- ➤ The Wisconsin Department of Justice asked a judge to immediately suspend an order requiring officials to verify the citizenship of all 3.6 million registered voters before the Feb. 18 spring primary. - ➤ Dane County announced Monday it will award over $25 million in 2025 for six affordable housing projects to create 494 new units — 374 in Madison and 120 in Fitchburg and Mount Horeb.
