- ➤ Nora the polar bear will soon move from the Oregon Zoo to Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison — where she will join Berit and later meet a male bear to help raise cubs. Her move is part of a conservation plan by zoo partners to save polar bears from shrinking habitats due to climate change. FOX 47
- ➤ City officials announced that over 20 residents at the Dairy Drive homeless campground on Madison’s eastside will be forced to leave by Friday as demolition moves forward this fall at an estimated cost of $220,000. - ➤ Madison Metro celebrated its one-year anniversary on Monday as its Bus Rapid Transit system with red lanes and electric buses resolved early route issues—Chief Development Officer Mick Rusch said door malfunctions were fixed and ridership increased by 18%. - ➤ During Child Passenger Safety Week, UW Health advises parents to keep children buckled properly by using the right car seat for each age group since car crashes remain a leading cause of death among kids.
