- ➤ An underground fire on Sunday in downtown Madison affected about 7,600 MGE customers after an underground cable failure caused outages—crews repaired cables on West Washington Avenue and restored power to all but 23 customers by 6:36 p.m.—with service for the remaining customers returning overnight. - ➤ Madison Police confirmed that 22-year-old Jamell D. Grant-Amos was arrested in Atlanta on Aug. 7 for an attempted homicide linked to a drive-by shooting on Milwaukee Street—where a man was injured and is expected to survive. WKOW
