- ➤ Residents in Madison’s Triangle neighborhood remain uneasy after a July homicide arrest at Bayview Apartments linked to a fatal shooting on Schlimgen Avenue — a recent community meeting saw residents voice long-standing safety concerns about drug use and suspicious behavior. WMTV

- ➤ A new behavioral facility named Jake's Place will open in late fall at 702 W Main Street to honor Darryll E. Jacobson and help people with mental health and addiction issues—Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett said it will ease pressure on the jail while Tellurian Behavioral Health CEO Kevin Florek said the center is set to directly help many people.
