- ➤ Residents in Madison’s Triangle neighborhood remain uneasy after a July homicide arrest at Bayview Apartments linked to a fatal shooting on Schlimgen Avenue — a recent community meeting saw residents voice long-standing safety concerns about drug use and suspicious behavior. WMTV

- ➤ A new behavioral facility named Jake's Place will open in late fall at 702 W Main Street to honor Darryll E. Jacobson and help people with mental health and addiction issues—Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett said it will ease pressure on the jail while Tellurian Behavioral Health CEO Kevin Florek said the center is set to directly help many people. - ➤ The Wisconsin Department of Health Services confirmed the first cases of measles in Oconto County, with one case confirmed through lab testing and eight more identified based on exposure and symptoms.
