- ➤ Late Wednesday night on the east side, police said four armed suspects surrounded two victims near a business on the 4200 block of Argosy Ct., struck one man in the head + stole a wallet and bag, and both were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. WISC-TV
- ➤ A Madison woman was charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide after she walked 16 miles with a knife to her father’s home in Stoughton on July 1—she allegedly attacked him while he slept and said she hallucinates and believed he was the devil. WKOW
- ➤ Two men sustained minor injuries during a robbery on Madison's east side late Wednesday night when four armed suspects allegedly surrounded them at a business on the 4200 block of Argosy Ct — one victim was struck in the head and both were taken to the hospital as police review camera footage with the investigation remaining open. - ➤ In November 2024, 193 absentee ballots were not counted in Madison due to errors in tracking procedures, and investigations by the city and the Wisconsin Elections Commission found key steps were missed. The clerk's office must submit new recommendations by August 7 while a law firm plans a class action lawsuit seeking damages. WISC-TV
- ➤ Dane County Regional Airport has announced that American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines will offer nonstop flights for UW football fans this fall—providing direct travel to away games against teams like Alabama, Oregon, Ohio State, and Washington. Dane County Executive Melissa Agard said the airport also features easy parking and quick lines to reduce travel hassles. WKOW
