  • A downtown Madison apartment complex was evacuated Monday afternoon when fire crews detected carbon monoxide levels of 100 parts per million from gas engines in vans powering water extraction equipment after a water leak on the seventh floor—residents returned safely around 3:10 p.m.  WMTV

  • The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double homicide in Middleton after a man and woman were found dead Tuesday at 2:20 p.m. in the 8500 block of Stonebrook Circle—Sheriff Kalvin Barrett confirmed that a suspect in the case is dead.  WMTV

  • Madison’s Italian Workmen’s Club building (914 Regent Street) will be designated as a National Historic Landmark next Tuesday at 5 p.m. and a ceremony with a plaque unveiling and light refreshments will mark its role in Italian-American culture and workers’ rights since 1922.  WISC-TV
