- ➤ Primrose Lutheran Church near Belleville celebrated 175 years of history on Sunday with a potluck, ice cream and pie while reuniting congregations that had split after its founding in 1850 by Norwegian settlers — a move that shows the church's enduring community ties. - ➤ At Olbrich Park, the 24th annual Summer Solstice Celebration drew crowds for music, paddling and a sunset bonfire — though high winds forced organizers to cancel the children’s mask parade. - ➤ Monona and Fitchburg police arrested a driver on Saturday for second-degree recklessly endangering safety and attempted eluding after he fled a traffic stop while driving near 100 mph and plunged into a pond — he admitted to having several grams of cocaine and faces more drug charges. WMTV
