- ➤ Eight Wisconsin teens and their adult chaperones will bike from Madison to Montgomery, Alabama over two weeks in June to spread a message of racial unity and friendship. They will stop in cities such as Rockford, Peoria, and St. Louis to complete service projects or hold discussion groups and then finish with a celebration in Atlanta on June 28. - ➤ On Sunday morning, the Fools’ Flotilla event brought hundreds of themed kayaks and canoes down the Yahara River—participants dressed as pirates, flamingos, and dinosaurs to help raise awareness for safeguarding local waterways. WMTV

- ➤ The Middleton Police Department K9 unit, which began 8 years ago with dog Szeci, has relied on private donations to cover its nearly $100,000 cost for training, equipment, and a special squad car as public funds remain allocated to other needs. The Middleton Law Enforcement Foundation will host a K9 Benefit on Saturday to support the unit. WMTV
