  • A 45-year-old man from Madison went AWOL from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Jail Diversion program—he was last seen Saturday in the Laurel Crest Avenue area and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.  WKOW

  • Sarah Hagenow, a Portage area native, has been named the 78th Alice in Dairyland — Wisconsin’s official agricultural ambassador promoting a $116.3 billion ag industry — and will begin her one-year role on July 7 while joining a sisterhood that includes her sister, the 76th Alice.  WMTV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Willa Brown Aviation Academy—named for the first African American woman pilot—will provide free flight experiences to disadvantaged youth as part of its mission to diversify aviation.
