- ➤ George's Flowers will close its doors on May 10 after 41 years of service as a local shop—founded in 1984 by George and Nia Choles and now run by their children, Denise George Schultz and Conn Choles. - ➤ The Madison Police Department issued a Silver Alert on Friday night for 68-year-old Jim D. Hansen — who was last seen at 10 a.m. on the 2500 block of Overlook Terrace and may have dementia — with details noting he is six feet tall with black hair, possibly using a cane or walker, and is American Indian or Alaskan Native. - ➤ Madison Police reported nearly 20 car break-ins downtown from April to May and warned residents to secure valuables in their vehicles—officials noted that warm weather may drive more thefts. FOX 47
