- ➤ Madison police arrested a 31-year-old man early Friday on Cottage Grove Road after he crashed into a front porch and parked vehicles during a traffic stop—he faces charges of third-offense OWI, eluding police and second-degree recklessly endangering safety. WISC-TV
- ➤ A Madison man—Jeramie J. Mason, 40—was convicted Wednesday on drug and gun charges after a three-day jury trial and police found a loaded firearm with drugs in his bedroom; sentencing will be held on August 14 and he faces a minimum of 15 years to life in prison. FOX 47
- ➤ A Madison man was convicted on April 16 for trafficking over 400 grams of fentanyl, more than 50 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine, and for illegally possessing a firearm — his sentencing is set for August 14. WMTV
- ➤ Madison police say 17-year-old Montrae K. Stalling is charged with negligent homicide after he accidentally shot a 19-year-old man during rough play with a gun on the Near West Side Wednesday night—Stalling had been at a library and then went to pick up his girlfriend before heading to his home on Cedar Street—authorities reported.
