- ➤ Madison police charged Erick Thompson-Feirn with breaking into a Vicar Lane home in March while the occupants were on vacation and he also faces charges for multiple burglaries in Monona—items stolen in the break-in were recovered during police searches. WKOW

Tony Evers broke ground on UW-Madison’s new engineering building on Thursday after years of political funding conflict — a $419 million project that will add 395,000 square feet of space.
