CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 25-year-old man from McFarland, James Barnes-Morris, was charged with murder and domestic abuse after Brooke Strattan died on Oct 3 following troubling statements he made before she disappeared—he will go to court today at 1:30 p.m. WISC-TV
- ➤ Madison man Nathaniel Douglas pleaded guilty to first-degree reckless homicide and was sentenced to 25 years in prison with 10 years extended supervision while Keyonta Blaney pleaded guilty to illegal gun possession, harboring a felon and using a vehicle without consent and received 10 years in prison with six years extended supervision—another co-defendant, Julius Jones, pleaded guilty to first-degree reckless homicide and was sentenced to 15 years in prison with 10 years extended supervision—all conditions include no contact with the victim’s family or known gang members. - ➤ A Madison man, James Barnes-Morris, is accused of first-degree intentional homicide with a domestic abuse enhancer in the death of Brooke Strattan—a McFarland woman found dead in a retention pond—police said he changed his account of their last encounter and is set to appear in Dane County court today.
